
Here is how the service works: On one designated day each week, I cook a week’s worth of meals for you. On this day, I shop for all needed groceries, come to your house and cook, and leave delicious meals for you. You may or may not be home when I am cooking — it is up to you.
Consultation
When you contact me, we will set up a complimentary consultation where I will learn all about your food preferences and needs. I will ask about your likes and dislikes, and any allergies to food or special diets I need to take into consideration when planning your menu. This is also a great time for you to ask me any questions you may have about the service.
Menu Planning
Together, we will decide what your menu will be each week. You may pick items from the provided list of entrees, have me cook some of your own recipes, or ask me to surprise you with something new.
Shopping
Each week I will shop for the needed ingredients for your chosen entrees. I will search for the highest quality ingredients at the best prices, choosing local ones when available, and organic if you prefer. I am also happy to pick up any extras you may want. I offer this service free of charge, whereas most other personal chefs charge an extra fee for additional shopping.
Meal Preparation
Each entrée will be prepared for you that day in your kitchen. It will then be packaged, labeled with item name and reheating instructions, and stored in your refrigerator or freezer. Meals can be packaged “family style” or in individual servings. You may be wondering why I come to your house to cook, instead of cooking at my house. Laws prohibit Personal Chefs from cooking outside of the client’s home, unless they are using a commercially certified kitchen. Most personal chefs cook at their clients' homes.
Wine & Beer Pairing
If you enjoy drinking wine or beer with dinner, I can suggest choices that would pair perfectly with your meals and shop for them.
